Add Life to Your Child’s Bedroom

We all know how important it is to have our own personal space.  It’s that private Idaho where only the brave dare tread.  In the comforts of our own bedroom, we can kick off our shoes and just freely act as we please, with no risk of judgment by anyone, whatsoever.

Even kids are entitled to their privacy.  It proves to be essential in the formation of their identity.  One way to encourage this is by helping your child in decorating his or her bedroom.  This gives him the chance to express his individuality in his private space.

The key to doing this is in identifying your child’s points of interest.  Is he a space-loving, budding astronaut?  Then embellish the ceiling of his room with those glow-in-the-dark stickers of the planets and stars.  If you’re feeling a little fancy, you can even get him his own telescope, and set it in a focal point in his bedroom.

If your daughter happens to be a Tinkerbell-wannabe, you can get her one of those kids ceiling fans in girly colors.  Their blades are shaped like flowers, so they do give off a whimsical, fairy-like feel to the room.

Dedicate a corner of the room to showcasing his artwork.  You can use sticky tack to stick them on the walls without ruining the paint or wallpaper.

The possibilities are endless.  Let your imagination take over, and help recreate your kid’s bedroom to make it speak of his personality.
