Bixbee Bags: Designed for Kids and Made for a Cause

Finding a school bag and lunch box that fit your child’s needs is often part of a parent’s back to school checklist. It may still be a year or so before Sean officially starts going to school but we are already training him to bring his own bag whenever we go out. Comfort, fit, safety, and durability are my top considerations in choosing a school bag and the Bixbee backpack and lunch box that I recently got seems to have made the cut.bixbee backpack

Bixbee is a brand of backpack designed for kids. They have fun, playful, and colorful designs that kids will definitely enjoy. But since my goal is to find an efficient school bag for Sean, I opted for their Signature Backpack. These bags are made from lightweight, durable, and water resistant polyester materials and are free from harmful chemicals like lead, PVC and phthalates. The one I got for Sean was a medium sized bag in color blue with orange accents. I like the horizontal design of the bag which makes everything within reach of your child unlike traditional backpacks where you need to dig for stuff that gets stuck at the bottom. I also like the compartments and mini-pockets all over the bag because it helps Sean organize his things easily. It even has a padded computer sleeve that fits a laptop or tablet. I was also happy to note that the shoulder straps were contoured to fit the child easily and well padded so it doesn’t hurt the shoulders nor cause chaffing in case the bag gets heavy. The backpack also has a mesh pocket at the side that fits Sean’s water bottle.

Sean’s school gear will not be complete without a matching Bixbee Signature lunchbox, also in blue with orange accents. This lunch bag is made from eco-friendly materials that are free from BPA, PVC, Pthalate, and lead. The main compartment is insulated which means food stays fresh longer. It also has outer compartments like the front pocket where Sean can store additional snacks or utensils and a mesh pocket at the back for extras.

Another great thing about Bixbee bags is that you can help underprivileged children with every purchase you make. Their One Here One There Program provides one backpack with school supplies for children in developing countries for every backpack sold.

Children who are determined to learn or educate themselves even with limited resources have a special place in my heart. My husband and I also have our own little way of helping kids of a public school in Palawan, Philippines by donating whatever school supplies we could gather from friends and family every start of the school year. We called this project Paper & Pencils for a Cause. This is why I also love Bixbee’s One Here One There Program.  It makes me feel great that by patronizing Bixbee I am also able to contribute to this worthy cause.

Bixbee is an awesome company! If you are looking for bags and lunchboxes, please buy at Bixbee. By buying bags from them you are also supporting children from less privileged countries.
