Convenient Meal Boxes Made by Easy Lunchboxes

300-x-250

Since we are traveling a lot  I decided to start looking for tools that will make preparing Sean’s lunch or meals less tedious and more fun.  Sean cannot eat lots of food so I need to make sure I make bring food for him when we are on the road. First on my list is to find an efficient lunch box that can keep meals intact until mealtime. There are a lot of lunch boxes that range from durable to disposable ones, but I’d like to have one that is made from safe materials or those that are free of toxins like phthalates, easy to use, durable, and priced just right.

I recently got a set of 4 lunch boxes and a lunch bag from Easy Lunchboxes for review, this is the so I was very eager to test. First of all, it has passed the FDA standards and contains no phthalates, BPA, or PVC. Secondly, it has the exact size or proportions for our meals. Most of the lunch boxes that I found have single or two compartments only. This means that I have to utilize plastic or baggies if I want to have several components on my meal. I chose for the EasyLunchboxes 3-compartment Bento Lunch Box Containers “CLASSIC” (Set of 4). BPA-Free. Easy-Open Lids (Not Leakproof) because I like the colors blue, red, green and orange. The Easy Lunchbox container has three compartments which is perfect for holding the main dish, sliced fruits or veggies, and dessert that usually comprise our lunch meals.

The lid is designed to snugly fit each of the compartment to prevent any spill over to the other slots. A word of caution though, they are not leak proof so you might want to hold off on the soups and sauces. On the plus side, it is a kid-friendly box as Sean didn’t have any trouble getting it open when we tried it.

Those who want to enjoy warm meals in school or the office can re-heat their meals in the microwave or freezer in the case of cold salad and fruit slices. Washing it is also not a problem because you can just stick it in the washer just like any of your dishes. At $13.95 for a set of four, this durable looking product offers good value for your money.

A lunch box will not be complete without a bag, so an insulated lunch bag from the same brand was called for. Just like the boxes, these bags are safe, non-vinyl, and made with FDA compliant PEVA lining. They are also Lead and PVC free. One bag can snugly fit 3 lunch boxes, one for Sean, Jules, and me. Even their lunch bag proportions fit our family requirements.

My hunt for the best lunchbox has ended with the Easy Lunchbox. It was able to meet all my requirements for quick and easy meals to go. This safe, durable, convenient, and practically priced box will be perfect for Sean when he starts going to school. For now, Sean, Jules and I get to have our own mini picnics in the park with the Easy Lunchbox container and bag.
