Four Options for Remodeling Your Bathroom

Four Options for Remodeling Your Bathroom

The bathroom is a very important room in your home. Making it luxurious and comfortable is something you should always do. Not only does it allow you to literally wash the stresses of the day away, it also adds tremendous value to your home. However, when you start looking for the best bathroom remodeling Scottsdale has to offer, you will quickly find that there are so many options that you can choose from. Let’s take a look at four popular options.

  1. Surface Level Remodeling Only

This is generally the cheapest form of remodeling and one that you can do yourself in the main as well. All you will really do here is replace the parts that are starting to look shabby, and not in the chic type of way. Essentially, you could change just your taps, knobs and faucets, or go slightly further and put a new shower stall, sink or toilet in place.

  1. Changing the Layout

Sometimes, all that is needed is a bit of a layout change. With a bathroom, that is a little bit more complicated than just rearranging a few cupboards, mainly because of the plumbing. However, this doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. Make sure you get a good plumber on board and try to move your bath where the toilet is, the sink where your bath is and the toilet where your sink is, for instance. If you then also change a few of your cupboards, rearrange your decoration items and more, you will have a completely new bathroom without having to purchase anything new.

  1. Bigger Is Better

Sometimes, you just really want something completely different. If this is the case, why not go bigger and better? This isn’t possible for everybody, as most of us are quite limited on space. However, if you have a bedroom spare, for instance, or there is a particularly large room that could work just as well if it was slightly smaller, you could consider extending your bathroom. Once you have all that extra space, however, you will need to fill it as well. So you could consider installing a two person’s corner Jacuzzi, a free standing bath on a platform, a sunken bath or even a sauna room, for instance. Going bigger only means going better if it’s done properly, however, and since this may involve structural work, you will need to make sure that you hire some really good professionals to get the job done.

  1. Overhaul the Lot

Finally, you could just gut it and start again. Take everything in your bathroom out, from the flooring and wall tiles to your sink, shower and toilet and simply start over with a blank canvas. This is generally the most expensive option of all, but it does give you the greatest amount of freedom as well. Not just that, while this is a very expensive option, it also adds a lot of value to your home, if done properly. Indeed, if you do some of the jobs yourself, such as the flooring and tiling, you could even see a 100% return on investment.

One of our bathrooms is in bad need of being remodeled! Just don’t have the money to do it with!

  3. Our bathroom is very small. It wouldn’t make sense to redo it. Where it’s situated if we gutted it and made it larger we’d cut into a bedroom.

the main one here, we have 3, one in the basement..it still has pink tile on the walls yes from back when…and it’s kinda not laid out real great, i think too small as well…plus we have a door that goes up to an attic right there near a toilet that you can’t open fully… in the basement, the shower is real small one you can almost turn around in a circle…
