Quick Fixer Uppers to Get Your Home Decked for the Holidays

It might already be too late for a renovation or a full redecorating project for the holidays – it might be too expensive too considering that you still have to spend for parties and gifts.  There are budget-friendly ways through which you can fix up your home in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  Here are some of them:

  1. Go with color. You surely would not want to be bothered with a wall painting project at this time.  You can simply use bold colored tapestries, curtains, upholstery, and rugs.  These are inexpensive enough to purchase from your local furniture store.  Or, you could already have them in your storage.  Choose to have them in the colors of the season and make sure that they match or complement each other.
  2. Switch your accents. As you go from Thanksgiving to Christmas, you can simply change your room accents for a different look.  Use long tapered orange candles for Thanksgiving and then change them with bright red and green clustered hurricane candles tied up with gingham patterned ribbons.  Your lampshade, throw pillows, wall ornaments, and figurines are some of the other accents that you can change.

These are just a couple of ways you can quickly spruce your home for the holidays.  You really don’t need to spend an arm and a leg to make your home festive.  Use your creativity and resourcefulness and make use of what you already have.
