Holiday Projects for Mommies and Kiddos

Making holiday projects is a great way to have quality time with the family.  Putting up the Christmas tree is one big holiday project that the family can share.  Putting up trinkets and sharing stories from Christmases past is always a wonderful way to start the season.  I’m sure we all have fond memories of our entire family gathered around the tree and smiling in awe when the Christmas lights are lit.

Aside from putting up the tree, there are also other small projects that you can do with your kiddos.   For Catholics, making an Advent wreath is something that can easily be completed with simple materials and in a short period of time.  All you need is a Christmas garland, three pink candles and one purple candle, some ribbons, and trimmings.  There are detailed instructions on the internet on how to finish this project.  For little boys, you can make a toy soldier or a snowman to put right on your porch to greet your holiday visitors.

Other easy-to-do projects include Christmas stockings, hanging ornaments, and reindeer masks.  Check out online crafting websites for more ideas.  With hundreds of sites that share craft ideas, you’ll certainly be able to find some that you and your entire family can do together.

  1. I would love to try these holiday project ideas with husband and daughter! Hopefully, we’d be able to shop for materials this weekend.
