List of 7 Must Have Gadgets For Your Home

Gadgets & Appliances you should get for your Home

Nowadays the average person leads a very busy lifestyle. Working full time and having a social life can mean that there is little time to look after the home or everyone in it. Luckily we live in a world that is full of great technology, so our lives can become a little bit easier with their help.

1. Hands-Free Vacuuming

Vacuum cleaning is probably one of the most despised chores of any homeowner. Like ironing it is time consuming and often put off for as long as possible but now there is no need to worry. There is no effort involved when you use the iRobot Scooba 230, which is an upgrade from the Roomba. This robot vacuum cleaner will navigate any room itself with iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology as well as being able to brush away dirt easily.

2. Let There Be Light

The electric light was an exciting commodity in the nineteenth century but it has evolved relatively little since then. Turning a light on and off has always required a person to get up and manually press a button, until now. The Insteon Light Control Kit has an app that can be downloaded to your mobile handset or tablet to monitor and change your home lights remotely.

3. Shh, Don’t Wake The Baby!

Parents with a newborn baby may hardly remember the luxury of free time or a good night’s sleep. The slightest noise can wake a baby so it’s important to take care after they’ve been put to bed. Still, you can’t resist checking in on them from time to time and baby monitors can help with this. The Smart Baby Monitor takes this to a whole new level, however, with infrared LED night vision so you don’t need to turn on the light. With the added convenience of wireless connectivity you can see your child sleeping soundly on your iPhone or tablet!

4. Locked Out?

For once you won’t need to remember your keys and you won’t need to stand outside in the cold, fumbling in your bag for the keychain. Instead, you can simply put your thumb or palm on the door handle and it will unlock! It’s not magic, it’s biometrics, and there are plenty of models of fingerprint door locks for you to choose from. It’s convenient and it’s safer than having to carry keys or a card which can easily be lost or stolen.

5. Boost Your Chances

There are so many devices being used on the Internet these days that making sure that you have a good connection can be a constant chore. Now you can eliminate all of that hassle by boosting the Wi-Fi signal in your home with an Amplifi HD Media Router. It is great for busy households with lots of people online at the same time, and it is especially designed to support rich content like video calls and streaming.

6. Guts For Garters

You’ve no doubt heard the phrase “I’ll have your guts for garters,” and most likely it will be your wife telling you to do something, or else! But it’s always the messy jobs that are left, isn’t it? Like cleaning the gutters. Save yourself time and avoid the dirt with the iRobot Looj 330. Once you position this clever machine it will use brushes and augers to clear any loose leaves or debris from your home guttering.

7. Paws Off, Kitty

When it comes to our pets, we love them dearly and they are regarded as a part of the family, but there are still certain chores that come with having pets which we’d rather avoid. Clearing out the litter box is one of those tasks for cat owners. There is a solution though, thanks to the Litter-Robot II. This smart machine is a self-cleaning litter box that filters out litter clumps into an ordinary plastic bag so that all you need to do is remove the waste bag! It also means that there is no unpleasant smell lingering in the room.

These are just a few of the top gadgets currently available but there are soon to be many more domestic robots. Imagine literally having an extra pair of hands in the kitchen in just a few short years! Enjoying the services of all these robots can be a great luxury but they are not always cheap.
