Training the little ones to use the potty is one of the most challenging tasks of a parent. Aside from a lot of patience and kind words, having the right equipment can get the job done with less fuss and less stress. Sean is still transitioning from the potty to the toilet and, I admit, I need all the help I need! I’ve asked for advice from other moms, bought handfuls of potty training books, and searched for comfy and efficient potty trainers for Sean. One of the best ones that I found is the PottyPod Basix from Prince Lionheart .
Upon closer inspection I got to appreciate all its other features that help make potty training a pleasant experience for the baby and their parents as well. The Potty POD is made from lightweight materials that are designed for the baby’s comfort. It is fitted with a soft cushioned surface, integrated splash shield, removable basin with easy to clean features, slip resistant TPE ring at the base, and height adjustable base. I also appreciated the fact that the surface is treated with an EPA approved additive to keep it clean and safe for the kids. This additive helps prevent the growth of odor and mildew causing microorganisms. Another advantage of this potty is that it looks close to the real toilet used by grown-ups. Even by just looking at it the little ones will already have an idea on what the seat is for and hopefully think twice about playing with it.
Some parents may have some reservations with purchasing a $17 potty but the excellent features of the Potty POD makes it definitely worth it. By its looks alone, one can already tell that this potty is built for training unlike other designs that look more like a toy. It’s working well for Sean who now goes to the toilet to do his thing. We still do have “accidents’ but they’ve gotten few and far in between. I also find it to be a great gift idea for baby showers, especially for friends and family who are close to your heart. This is one professionally designed POD that makes the potty to toilet transition easy for tots and parents.

I would love to get one for my little girl since she is due for potty training. Those are nice.
$50 is a bit steep considering that there are $10-potties available. But if it does the job of making potty training easy, then it’s well-worth shelling out the extra bucks.

Potty training can be very challenging but with the right mindset, tools, and patience, it would easier.
