Squeez’Ems for On The Go Meals Without Fuss

SqueezEms-bannerYou all know just how much our family loves to travel.  Even on ordinary days, we sometimes just hie off and explore new places that are just a few hours drive away from home.  Though we enjoy our trips tremendously, bringing food while travelling isn’t always as enjoyable.  For one, we often have to keep to sandwiches and dry food which aren’t messy to eat.  My toddler has long been eating solids but he still loves applesauce and pureed versions of his fave veggies.  So when I saw Squeeze’Ems by BooginHead, I just had to give them a try.

Squeeze’Ems are food pouches that can be filled with pureed food, yogurt, or even sauces and then washed and re-used.  They’re small enough to fill a kid’s lunch box and can be flattened when empty.  It has a spout where food can be sucked through and eaten without making any mess.  Its one-piece construction ensures that you don’t lose any part.  These reusable pouches are free of BPA, PVC and Phthalate and are completely safe for storing food.  Since they are reusable, we get to save the environment too.

These are great for those with toddlers since they can be filled with any pureed food.  The spout feature lets you feed your little ones without needing a spoon and without making any mess.  For school-aged kids, these can be filled with yogurt and other sauces.

The Squeez’Ems are great travel buddies but they do have a few features that need some improvement.  Though it is dishwasher safe, some food gets stuck in the lid. Before I place it in the dishwasher, I need to use a soft bottle brush to clean the rims first.   Then there’s also the small opening that makes it a bit difficult to fill with food.  I was able to remedy this by using a funnel or a piping bag.  The lid also has to be closed tightly otherwise, it would pop open and the contents would spill.

Squeez’Ems may not be really perfect but they are still very useful during travels.  With them, we get to enjoy applesauce, yogurt, and more food during our picnics and trips.

Never seen this product but it sounds great! It kind of reminds me of the “gogurt” (squeeze-able yogurt to go) I love that it’s mess-free which is really important if you have little ones 🙂

I love these little squeez’ems they are so easy to use and reusable and i love them also because if you have ever bought the disposable squeez’ems you only use them once and you have to throw them away which is no fun.I also love that you can take them anywhere.

  10. thanks for the awesome review, this looks like a very handy and fun way to get my kids to drink more water and fruit juices on the go

Oh, phooey! Where was this when my daughter was a little one? I can’t start to tell you all the disgusting messes we had, because this product wasn’t available then. Oh well – at least some other mothers will be spared! LOL!

  14. These look neat, but with the design flaws of being difficult to fill & needing to clean the rims of the lids with a small brush before putting in the dishwasher, I don’t think they’d be worth it. Personally, I don’t think they’d be convenient if you have to do extra work to get them filled and cleaned.

I like this however I am not sure how it would clean up afterwards. The spout does not look very large at all.
